The original bellows was very pinholed and Gordon replaced them with vintage
ones from Craig Camera. He also lubricated the shutter mechanism. The stylus
and ground glass from the site are both missing. Minor wear to the cover on most
of the body but for an area where it is pulling away on the door.
General Notes:
This is the first folding type camera in our collection. It was purchased out of a
bucket of old cameras at a Somerville antique shop. The Kodex shutter dates the

c
amera to production between May 1925 and September 1926. However, this is a
bit of an oddity. According to www.brownie-camera.com, Kodak changed over
from a “C” curved support foot to an “S” shaped one in October 1919, beginning
with serial number 375,601. This camera has a serial number of 845,938 yet still
has the old style shallow “S” support foot. [antique store purchase, Somerville, NJ]
