General Notes:
|
This is the first folding type camera in our collection. It was purchased out of a bucket of old cameras at a Somerville antique shop. The Kodex shutter dates the camera to production between May 1925 and September 1926. However, this is a bit of an oddity. According to www.brownie-camera.com, Kodak changed over from a “C” curved support foot to an “S” shaped one in October 1919, beginning with serial number 375,601. This camera has a serial number of 845,938 yet still has the old style shallow “S” support foot. [antique store purchase, Somerville, NJ]
